Daniela Steila works on Russian Philosophy.
She is Associate Professor at the University of Turin, where she teaches general History of Philosophy in the Bachelor Degree Course of Psychology, and History of Russian Philosophy in the Master Degree Course of Philosophy. She has been for six years the Director of the Turin Ph.D. Programme in Philosophy, and is now member of the Board of the FINO Ph.D. Programme.
She has worked on Russian culture in XIX and XX centuries, early Russian Marxism, the reception of empiriocritism in Russia, Russian philosophical historiography, L.S. Vygotsky's thought, philosophy in Soviet era.
She has been involved in several National Interest Research Programmes, and is coordinator of local research programmes on Russian philosophy and intellectual history.
She has been visiting fellow of the Aleksanteri Institute (University of Helsinki) in 2010.
